Libby
The plan is to showcase programs written in Liberty BASIC. The finished applications will be offered to the general public as Open Source Freeware.
The main purpose being to promote Liberty BASIC. "Flyers", announcing Libby's availability, will be submitted to the major freeware sites.
The Shell
Libby is a shell application that will open other Liberty BASIC applications. Libby also has access to Windows applications and configuration wizards.
The Libby shell will be released for beta testing in mid-October and, hopefully, on the shelves for Christmas.
The Libby Website
Libby has it's own website at [http://libby.lbdownloads.com/]. This site, provided by Scott Bannon is the place to upload/download applications.
When ball gets rolling, visitors will be able to download new modules, hey ...that's YOUR application, here.
For those visitors who would like to know more about programming, there will be links to the major LB groups and the LB home page.
Applications
We are accepting programs of all type. These do not have to be 15,000 line monsters but they can be. All that's required is it's yours, it's good looking, and it's as bug free as possible.
Because Libby is an Open Source project, all programs included in the Libby Group are required to be released as Open Source. You may retain your copyright.
The Libby Project Managers are:
The Project Managers will review all programs submitted. You will receive an e-mail from one of these folks if bugs are found or improvements can be made.
Libby discussions take place in two groups: The Open Source Libby folder at The Liberty BASIC Forum, [http://libertybasic.conforums2.com/index.cgi] , is for general discussions. The Libby Group, [http://forums.lbdownloads.com/index.php], is for discussion about Libby and application submitted for inclusion.
Suggestions and comments are welcome at both forums.
